 Hon’ble Lt. Governor – Delhi, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena led “Tiranga Yatra” with 5,000 students of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Schools from A - Block, Inner Circle Connaught Place, New Delhi and thereafter also inaugurated an Ayurvedic Dispensary at NDMC Chest Polyclinic, Baird Line, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg (near Shivaji Stadium), New Delhi. On the occasion, Shri Saxena felicitated Shri Aman Sehrawat, Bronze Medal Winner in Wrestling at Paris Olympic 2024. NDMC has also appointed Shri Aman Sehrawat as NDMC Brand Ambassador. Hon’ble Member of Parliament – Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Chief Secretary, Delhi and Chairman- NDMC Shri Naresh Kumar, Vice- Chairman, NDMC - Shri Satish Upadhyay also participated in Tiranga Yatra along with Council Members - Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Smt. Vaishkha Shailani and other senior officials of NDMC. While


 congratulating the participants of Tiranga Yatra, LG – Delhi said that this year on August 8, 2024, the Central government announced the third edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign which is scheduled from August 9 to August 15, 2024. This celebration of the Indian Independence begins a week before the Independence Day every year. This year on 15th of August, India is all set to celebrate its 78th Independence Day. The freedom we received from British rule, came to us at huge cost, he added. For recalling the sacrifices of Freedom Fighters, our duty to remember them for further inspiration to save, develop and progress of Nation. He further said that Vision of “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign is to unify the nation and remember the freedom struggle of the country by instilling patriotism in the hearts of citizens. The campaign “Har Ghar Tiranga” envisages that every citizen of the country must bring the National Flag at home and unfurl it. LG Delhi also praised the students' spirit and emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifice won India's independence. He also highlighted the role of the youth in shaping the future of the nation. The NDMC School Students in the Tiranga Yatra along with the dignitaries covered the route of A Block, Inner circle of Connaught Place. Approximately 5,000 school students, teachers, parents, other individuals and NDMC Officials and Officers who carried the National Flag with full fervour and enthusiasm joined the Tiranga Yatra. The ‘Tiranga Yatra’ campaign initiated to



 commemorate India's 78th Independence Day, has seen enthusiastic involvement from students across the city, with NDMC-Atal Adarsh and Navyug schools taking the lead. The students engaged in various activities including the Tiranga Yatra, Tiranga Tribute, Tiranga Pledge, Tiranga Canvas as well as quizzes, painting competitions, speeches, patriotic songs, and human chains, all centred around the theme of the national flag. Inauguration of Ayurvedic Dispensary. After leading the Tiranga Yatra, LG Delhi inaugurated an Ayurvedic Dispensary at NDMC Chest Polyclinic, Baird Line, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg (near Shivaji Stadium), New Delhi. While inaugurating the Ayurvedic Dispensary, Shri Saxena said that The Polyclinic Complex, which currently houses a Chest Clinic alongside its Allopathic and Homeopathic Dispensaries, is now further enriched with the inclusion of an Ayurvedic Dispensary. This addition addresses a long-standing demand from the Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) and the local community, for a more comprehensive healthcare services. With the proactive support and intervention of the Chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), this new healthcare facility has come to fruition. The establishment of the Ayurvedic Dispensary is a testament to NDMC’s dedication to promoting a multidimensional healthcare system that respects and integrates various medical traditions. This new addition is expected to augment the holistic medical services already offered, ensuring the residents of New Delhi receive comprehensive and varied healthcare options, he added.
